The purpose of this work was to use approach of salt formation for improvement of the solubility and dissolution rate of ketoconazole (KTZ), a water-insoluble antifungal drug. KTZ salt was synthesized by bubbling anhydrous HCl gas into acetone suspension of KTZ. Completion of reaction was assessed by melting point determination and found to be 144 ..
