Background: Deaths from chronic lower respiratory diseases, of which asthma is one, remains the 4th leading cause of death in the United States. Sedatives and tranquilizers are still being prescribed to asthma patients despite knowledge of death-associated risks in asthma: hormonal/circadian differences, use/effect of sedatives/tranquilizers,.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
