Polyaspartic acid (PAA) has been extensively studied to protect renal toxicity of aminoglycoside antibiotics both in vivo and in vitro. However, PAA has not been examined if it has similar effect on the nephrotoxicity of amphotericin B (AmB). As a new method to reduce renal toxicity of AmB, we synthesized partially benzylated decapeptide of PAA..
