The edict of Emperor Frederick II has been considered the Pharmaceutical Magna Charta. Ever since the profession needed to defend itself against attacks from inside and outside of pharmacy. Throughout the centuries and in many parts of the world, most of the privileges granted for pharmacists by national or local authorities included trade..
