The progress in the development of biotherapeutics for the treatment of disorders of the central nervous system is impaired by the presence of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), which is only permeable to lipophilic molecules of <400 Da. Neuronal growth factors, i.e. BDNF and GDNF, are potential neuroprotective agents for the treatment of stroke,.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
