Medicine benefits immensely from the rich pharmacopoeia of our environment; according to one recent analysis, about 57% of the 150 most prescribed drugs in the US are derived from natural products. Most, however, are from terrestrial plants and microorganisms. Our drug discovery program at Suez Canal University is focusing on search for new drug.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
