  • Abstract:

Dramatic advancements have occurred in the field of drug delivery system (DDS) during the past 10 years. Tumor targeting with long circulating liposomes that contain antitumor agents (passive targeting) has been successfully demonstrated in clinical trials. Active targeting with ligands specific to cell surface receptors has also been developed.
