Background: Prn or 'when required' sedation is commonly used to manage behavioral disturbances in acute inpatient mental health units, although evidence regarding its effectiveness is limited. There is growing interest in examining prn sedation use in children and adolescents. Objectives: To profile the use of prn sedation and explore issues.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
