The practice of pharmacy is changing very rapidly in Japan as pharmacists take on extended clinical and practice roles. These changes are mirrored by changes in pharmacy education and recently (2006) a new six-year degree was introduced nationwide. This new degree, leading to licensure as a pharmacist, is characterised by an increased emphasis.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
