The roles of MgO in three different solid dispersion (SD) systems: SD1 (drug, MgO and PEG 6000), SD2 (drug and PEG 6000) and SD3 (drug and MgO) containing the weakly dibasic model drug, telmisartan (TEL) were investigated. A binary SD2 without MgO showed the lowest TEL dissolution despite its structural amorphousness, but SD3 significantly..
