Cellulose is commonly applied in direct compaction, and exists in 4 different polymorphic forms: cellulose I-IV. However, only cellulose I is used commercially in pharmaceutics. The aim of the present study was to compare cellulose I and II as multifunctional pharmaceutical excipients through the investigation of powder properties, compression and ..
