Background information:
Dementia is often preceded by a state of cognitive dysfunction defined as mild cognitive impairment. The use of validated brief tests for screening patients suspected of cognitive impairment such as the validated Pfeiffer (Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire) has shown great value for health care providers...
