    No large-scale clinical studies of anti-HIV drugs have been performed in Japan. The currently available HIV infection guidelines in Japan were prepared based on clinical findings obtained until November 2007 in accordance with guidelines published by the DHHS or in Western countries, as well as on the experience of Japanese physicians in the field
