Background
For deep vein thrombosis (DVT), the average length of stay (LOS) is 5.8 days and the mean acute-care hospital costs are $5,779 per visit. Early-directed protocols with a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) for DVT management for early discharge have been shown to prevent patient admissions, improve patient follow-up, and decrease hospital.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
