Background
Diabetes patients are required to manage self-care not only for medication but also diet and exercise. In Japan, dietary counseling for diabetes patients by dietitians employed by hospitals is reimbursed under national health insurance and becoming more common, but most diabetes patients who see primary-care physicians do not have..
