BackgroundReports of carbapenemase producers are currently accumulating in Abu Dhabi. Hence, screening these organisms by a proper methodology is crucial.
Rectal swabs were obtained from patients admitted to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and screened for carbapenem resistance by culture on CHROMagar KPC and testing.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
