Injecting drug users (IDU) are particularly vulnerable to infectious diseases, such as HIV, HCV, HBV and other blood-borne infections as a result of sharing contaminated injecting equipment and unprotected sexual contacts. Harm reduction involves a range of strategies, including: syringe exchange program (SEP); opioid substitution..
