  • Abstract:

The pharmacist's role in direct care to the patient, the family, and the community is a challenge for the Brazilian Public Health System (SUS). Although the pharmacist is a strategic professional, it is usually underutilized. A greater insertion of this professional could improve clinical, humanistic and economic outcomes.
