    Background

    Hyperemesis gravidarum(HG), a severe form of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, affects approximately 1% of all pregnant women. It leads to weight loss, reduced quality of life, sick-leave, often hospitalization and in some cases even elective abortion of an otherwise wanted pregnancy.
