    Innovations in pharmacogenetics may make it possible to tailor drugs for individuals, offering the prospect of an era of safer and more effective drugs, but also have repercussions that extend far beyond the technology that makes it possible. It also promises to raise new ethical challenges, in particular in the fields of research and therapy.
