Aims: Tretinoin-containing microspheres offer minimized drug side effects and improved treatment efficacy via control of the drug release. Microencapsulating also protects tretinoin against light; whereas un-encapsulated drug can be easily photodegraded. This study was designed to set the optimal preparation conditions of cellulose acetate..
