    Dengue is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus that results in Dengue shock syndrome (DSS) and Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF). There are four serologically distinct dengue viruses called DENV 1-4. The infectivity  depends on the viral envelop protein E (DENV E).
