    Drugs that are life-saving to patients may cause adverse health effects to the healthcare workers who handle them.   USP <800> Hazardous Drugs – Handling in Healthcare Settings promotes safety to workers by reducing occupational exposure.  This standard becomes official on July 1, 2018.
