Gentamicin is commonly used, and well known to be associated with nephrotoxicity, including acute renal failure and renal tubulopathy. Bartter-like syndrome characterized by hypokalemic metabolic alkalosis, hypomagnesemia, hypocalcemia, and normal kidney function in patient treated with aminoglycoside.
