Aims. Cardiovascular disease is the major cause of mortality in patients receiving hemodialysis due to chronic renal failure. Increased lipid peroxidation and depletion of antioxidants may contribute to increased risk of atherosclerosis. We have therefore assessed the effect of hemodialysis on oxidative stress.
Method. Plasma malondialdehyde,.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
