The purpose of this study was to explore the absorption mechanism of rutaecarpine (rut) on the basis of in vitro(Caco-2 cell monolayer) and in situ(rat intestinal recirculating perfusion) models. The recirculating intestinal perfusion model was applied to study the in situ absorption kinetics of rut in the dose range of 186 Î¼g, 372 Î¼g and..
