A recent study in the Netherlands at a general pediatric clinic showed that complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) were used by 30% of the patients.(1) The most frequently used types of CAM were homeopathy (48%), phytotherapy (45%), nutritional supplements (28%) and manual therapies (28%).
