Rantidine is only absorbed in the initial part of small intestine and has 50% absolute bioavailability and short half life ( ~ 2.5 – 3h ). A gastroretentive sustained release formulation would be favorable.
Melt granulation technique using lipids (compritol ATO , Cutina GMS , hydrogenated castor oil (cutina HR) and bess wax was applied. Seived drug.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
