Dropropizine in its levo-form is an established antitussive agent. The same has a monograph in British Pharmacopoeia 2004, BP 2004, (Ph Eur monograph 1535). Dextrodropropizine is a known impurity in levodropropizine and requires enantiomeric purity test. An enantiospecific HPLC method for separation of dropropizine enantiomers in pharmaceutical.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
