The CYP2C19 loss-of-function (LoF) variant *2 allele is associated with attenuated response to clopidogrel which may lead to adverse cardiovascular outcomes post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). To-date, prevalence of the *2 allele in the Maltese population has not been reported.
