Calcineurin inhibitors, such as tacrolimus or cyclosporine, are the first-line immunosuppressant after lung transplantation, reducing rejection and improving graft survival. Itraconazole is routinely administered to lung transplant recipients as prophylaxis against Aspergillus infections. Since itraconazole potently inhibits the activity of CYP3A4 ..
