The implementation of hospital medication distribution automation systems generates important costs and benefits to patient care. There is a lack of studies evaluating the economic impact of these technologies in US hospitals.
A systematic review identified published studies assessing the costs and benefits associated with the automated medication.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
