MANIPULATION OF ORAL SOLID DOSAGE FORMS FOR CHILDREN WITH EPILEPSY – DOES A LACK OF PROVIDED DRUG INFORMATION LIMIT PHARMACEUTICAL COUNSELLING?

  • Abstract:

Children with epilepsy are frequently treated with oral solid dosage forms. Pharmaceutical advice is required if manipulation is necessary due to dosage modification, swallowing problems or a supply via tube. Do available drug information sources provide all needed information for pharmacists to perform an adequate counselling on manipulation?
