Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) main action is a long-lasting reduction of gastric acid production by irreversibly blocking the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme of the gastric parietal cells.
Amylase activity analysis was carried out on a gastric juice sample by the Reflotron® device, according to a previously designed methodology.1Amylase activity was measured..
