According to WHO, cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide and accounted for 7.6 million deaths in 2008. It is projected to continue to rise over 13.1 million in 2030. In the Philippines, 16 percent of the 50,000 cases of dreaded disease is due to cancer (Valmero, 2008). Most of the drugs being used today for cancer chemotherapy are cytotoxic..
