Casuarina equisetifolia L. (family: Casuarinaceae) commonly known as 'Junglisaru ' in Hindi and 'She-oak or Horse tail or Whistle pine' in English, is an exotic species to India and native to South-East Asia, Australia and Polynesia. The plant has been reported to treat constipation, cough, diabetes, diarrhoea, dysentery, gonorrhea, nervous..
