Background Poor quality medications have been associated with the development of drug resistance and death. The Paper Analytical Device (PAD) applies the principles of liquid chromatography and combines an array of chemical tests on patterned paper to determine the quality of a medication. The PAD costs ~$0.25 to fabricate and takes about 5.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
