    Background: There are more than 200 large molecule biotherapeutics in the market place. The diversity of these molecules range from peptides to monoclonal antibodies. Ligand binding assays are the predominant analytical technology used for the analysis of these molecules in support of pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and immunogenicity
