The $2.8 trillion U.S. health system (2012) is under pressure to achieve better care for patients, better health for populations, and at lower cost. With these goals, the domino effect of poor medication adherence is becoming clearer. Characterized as 'America's Other Drug Problem' (NCPIE, 2007, 2013), non-adherence is estimated to cost $290.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
