  • Abstract:

    Access to essential medicines is core to universal health coverage. Government expenditure on health, pharmaceuticals and the infrastructure to manage pharmaceuticals is very low, while out-of-pocket expenditure is very high, in many Asian countries compared to high income countries. In addition there are inefficiencies in the health system
