Bioresorbable implants challenge the paradigm of permanent metallic implants where the implant can support and facilitate the remediation of dysfunction in bone trauma. Degradable orthopaedic implants are attractive as they reduce the need for secondary surgery, thus reducing health costs and related morbidity associated with additional surgeries. ..
