• Abstract:

  Heartburn is the main symptom of GER disease. According to European data, only 34 % of patients with GER disease symptoms see the doctor after several months of unsuccessful self-medication. In Croatia, antacids and cimetidine-based drugs are available over the counter, so the patients self-medicate instead of consulting their physicians.
