  • Abstract:

    Background: Flurbiprofen (FPF), a clinical used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), causes serious gastrointestinal (GI) adverse events including inflammation, bleeding, ulceration, and perforation.
    Aims: To improve its oral drug-like behaviors and safety profile, a series of prodrugs for flurbiprofen were designed based on the tissue..
