Background
In the lung, various transporters are known to be expressed. However, the expression and function of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) in alveolar epithelial cells is still unclear. In addition, the lung is the organ directly exposed to cigarette smoke in smokers. However, the information concerning the effect of cigarette smoke on P-gp in..
