    I.BackgroundCryptolepis sanguinolenta (Lindl. Schlit.) consist of the dried roots of cryptolepis sanguinolenta from the family of Periplocaceae, it is commonly known as Ghana quinine, yellow-dye root indigenous to Africa (Central, Eastern and West Africa.)
