Background
Improving availability and affordability of essential medicines is a key objective of the National Essential Medicine Policy in China. In its initial implementation in 2009, the policy targets first-level healthcare institutions with policies designed to increase availability of essential medicines and reduce patients[simplequote] The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
