Permeability and solubility of drugs are considered to be the most important factors to determine oral drug absorption. Caco-2 cell monolayer system is now widely used in the pharmaceutical industries to screen the membrane permeability of new drug-candidates. Also, their water-solubility is measured in vitro at the early stage of drug.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
