About one-third of the world's population still has no access to essential medicines. This situation has become more visible, and perceived as more urgent, by the serious lack of access to antiretrovirals and other essential medicines in the prevention and care of HIV/AIDS. At the same time, efforts to improve the situation for AIDS, tuberculosis..
