  • Abstract:

Maltose derivatives are of interest as precursors for biomimetic polymers and as building blocks for new pharmaceutical excipients and nutritional supplements. For the present study xylose, 2-deoxyglucose and 6-deoxyglucose have been chosen as replacements for the reducing glucose unit of maltose. Maltose phosphorylase from Enterococcus sp.
