  • Abstract:

    An early event in the induction of apoptosis is cytochrome <i>c</i> (Cyt <i>c</i>) release from mitochondria. Alloxan has the cytotoxicity on pancreatic beta-cells and thus causes type 1 diabetes mellitus.
